I started creating items when I was pregnant with my oldest child, Brekkyn, and haven't been able to stop. I was such a tomboy growing up - the only sewing/crafting I did was for service projects, church youth activities and that's about it. So something struck during that pregnancy that hasn't left - it woke up my creative bug!
I started out with flannel rag quilts, burp rags, blankets, hoodie towels, nursing covers, bags, baby shoes and the list could go on. After a car accident I had, I wasn't able to be as physical as I was prior - no sports, working out, etc - so my mother-in-law taught me how to crochet. So now I can make beautiful BIG receiving blankets for new mommies (and seasoned mommies adding new little ones).
I absolutely LOVE making items for people - it really is such a joy for me. To be able to take nothing and make something - my motto. I think in life there are too many times that things don't work or we see what's in front of us and don't know what to do with it. So to quote the tired phrase "when life gives you lemons..." my answer is ... do what you can to be happy. Happiness is a choice not a gift.
Thanks again for stopping by - I love to create these items, I love custom orders and really only want to make up for my cost, I "donate" my time creating these items because I don't want it to become a job. With my mathematical/analytical background I never thought I was crafty or creative, yet I've been able to adapt and to find something that works for me with my strengths to strengthen my weaknesses.
